Our History

Established in 1919 as Peoples State Bank in Chaplin Kentucky, a long tradition of quality products and services to farmers, businesses and the rural community was implemented. During the late 1990’s, Peoples State Bank began to expand its offices to the Louisville Metropolitan area opening a Loan Production Office within the Dutchmans Lane location where there was an established CPA and bank auditing firm already in place. During the early 2000’s, The banks’ name changed from Peoples State Bank to King Southern Bank as it has continued to expand by opening more branches.
