Remote Capture gives customers the ability to make non-cash deposits from the comfort of their own office. With remote capture the customer logs into a secure website, creates a batch (e.g. a deposit and enters the total amount and item count for the batch), uses a check scanner to scan checks into the system and balance their own transactions. User Security can be enabled to allow company employees access to scan, audit, edit, delete, and approve transactions. Additionally, User Security can provide for separation of duties during the process. Remote Capture has the same 2 o'clock p.m. transaction cut off time as all of the branches. After 2 o'clock p.m. a file of all Remote Capture customers' transactions for the day is provided for the bank to transfer into our processing systems. Any open batches completed after 2 o'clock p.m. will be counted on the next business day. Programming within the Remote Capture system also prevents the potential of duplicate items being scanned and transmitted. King Southern Bank requires that original scanned checks be retained by the Remote Capture customer for 90 days in a secure environment and then shredded after the 90 days are complete. With Remote Capture customers also have the capability to require extra information be keyed with each check that is scanned into the system. This extra information may consist of invoice numbers that relate to the check or the customer's name and may be exported to excel for easy tracking of payments. Our Remote Deposit system also has various reports available in daily weekly and monthly reports. Information is stored and accessible for up to two years.
